Career Katta – Student Interaction Events in Pune District (31 July 2025)
1. Annasaheb Magar College, Hadapsar
A grand Student Interaction event was organized at Annasaheb Magar College, Hadapsar, under Pune District Education Board. The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.
Mr. Yashwant Shitole, Chairman of the Maharashtra IT Assistance Center, was the chief guest. Other dignitaries included Pune District Career Katta Coordinator Mr. Prabhakar Ghodke, Principal Dr. Nitin Ghorpade, Vice Principal Dr. Shubhangi Auti, and Program Coordinator Dr. Neeta Kamble.
Principal Dr. Ghorpade welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of career planning and competitive exams to the first-year students.
In his address, Mr. Shitole highlighted the need for structured career guidance in today’s competitive world and introduced the "Systematic Plan for Career Development" through the Career Katta mobile app, encouraging students to utilize technology for career growth.
The event was planned by the student ministers and members of the college's Career Parliament, and over 450 first-year students participated. Faculty including Dr. Asha Mane, Dr. Sunil Waghmode, and others were present. The event was anchored by Dr. Asha Mane, and the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Waghmode.
2. Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Ganeshkhind
At Modern College, Ganeshkhind, more than 125 students attended a similar Career Katta interaction. Mr. Yashwant Shitole addressed the students, encouraging them to explore diverse opportunities through the Career Katta platform.
The program was attended by Principal Dr. Sanjay Kharat, Regional Coordinator Dr. Prabhakar Ghodke, District Coordinator Dr. Jyoti Joshi, and members of the Career Parliament.
3. Haribhau V. Desai College, Pune
Another Career Katta session was conducted at Haribhau V. Desai College, Pune, where over 150 students interacted with Mr. Shitole. The event was supported by Principal Dr. Rajendra Gurav, Regional Coordinator Dr. Prabhakar Ghodke, and members of the college's Career Parliament. Several faculty and non-teaching staff were also present, contributing to the success of the event.
These sessions under the Career Katta initiative aim to provide holistic career development, exposure to opportunities, and motivational guidance to students across Maharashtra.
