Career Katta - Student Interaction Workshops Held Across Nashik District
On 28th July 2025, under the joint initiative of the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra and the Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center, Career Katta organized Student Interaction Workshops at multiple colleges across Nashik district.
At K.V.N. Naik College, Nashik, the workshop was graced by Mr. Yashwant Shitole, President of the Maharashtra IT Support Center, who guided students on fostering entrepreneurship, self-employment, and career readiness through digital awareness and technology usage. He emphasized turning students into creators and not just consumers of technology. The session was presided over by Principal Dr. Sanjay Sanap, who underlined the importance of Career Katta as a platform for holistic development and competitive exam preparation. The event was coordinated by Prof. Sheetal Lahane, with support from faculty and administrative staff. Over 100 students participated actively.
At Swami Shatkopacharyaji Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Saikheda, Mr. Shitole addressed the students with Principal Dr. K.M. Khalkar and Vice-Principal Dr. S.V. Gosavi in attendance. The event was hosted by Dr. Rekha More, Career Katta Taluka Coordinator, and Avanti Derle delivered the vote of thanks. 60+ students were present.
At Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Lasalgaon, more than 215 students participated. Mr. Shitole once again shared valuable insights on career planning and entrepreneurship. The event saw the presence of Principal Dr. Adinath More, Vice-Principal Prof. Bhushan Hire, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Sanjay Nikam, College Coordinator Dr. Somnath Arote, teaching and non-teaching staff, and Career Katta student representatives.
These workshops proved to be inspiring and impactful, encouraging students across the region to take proactive steps toward their career development.
