Student Interaction Program – Latur District

Career Katta Student Interaction Program – Latur District (24 July 2025)

Under the joint initiative of the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, and the Maharashtra Information Technology Support Centre, multiple Career Katta student interaction programs were held in Latur district on 24 July 2025. Mr. Yashwant Shitole, President of the Maharashtra IT Support Centre, engaged with students and guided them on career development and opportunities.

1. Mahatma Basaveshwar College, Latur

   • Over 90 students participated.

   • Present were Principal Dr. Sanjay Gavai, College Coordinator Dr. Shivprasad Dongre, District Coordinator Dr. Sainath Umate, faculty, non-teaching staff, and Career Parliament members.

2. Jai Kranti Senior College, Latur

   • Attended by approximately 110 students and 40 teaching/non-teaching staff.

   • Chief Guest: Mr. Prashant Ghar.

   • Other dignitaries: Principal & Promoter Dr. Shridhar Kolhe (Latur), Dr. Haridas Fere (Dharashiv), College Coordinators Dr. Pramod Chavan & Dr. Samina Shaikh, District Coordinator Dr. Sainath Umate, and Career Parliament Chief Minister Ms. Divya Renke along with other office-bearers.

3. Dayanand Commerce College, Latur

   • Attended by over 100 students and staff.

   • Presiding Officer: Principal Prof. Prashant Mannikar.

   • Guests included Vice Principal Dr. Ganesh Lahane, Promoter Principal Dr. Haridas Fere, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Balasaheb Chavan, Commerce Dept. Head Dr. Manisha Ashtekar, District Coordinator Dr. Sainath Umate, College Coordinator Prof. Ajay Chavan, and Career Parliament Chief Minister Mr. Ajinkya Jadhav.
