Student Interaction Program Ahilyanagar - District
Career Katta Student Interaction Sessions Held Across Ahilyanagar and Nashik on 29th July 2025
Under the joint initiative of the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra and the Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center, a series of Career Katta – Student Interaction sessions were conducted across multiple colleges in Nashik and Ahilyanagar districts. These sessions were led by Mr. Yashwant Shitole, President, Maharashtra IT Support Center, who held open dialogues with students about future career opportunities, digital awareness, and personal development.
1. Guruvaraya Mamasheb Dandekar College, Sinnar (Nashik)
Mr. Shitole emphasized that Career Katta is an open and dynamic platform aimed at students' overall development. It offers external credit courses, interactive sessions with IAS officers and renowned entrepreneurs, and guidance for competitive exams. He encouraged students to reduce reliance on social media, develop reading habits, utilize career-focused mobile apps, and maintain open communication with family and faculty.
Special guest Ms. Dimple Mittal stressed the importance of positive communication, self-presentation, and maintaining a constructive attitude. The session was chaired by Principal Prof. N.U. Patil, and coordinated by Vice-Principal Prof. R.V. Pawar, with participation from Prof. Akshay More (District Coordinator), Dr. C.E. Gurule, and other faculty members. Prof. Kanchan Shete conducted the event.
2. Sangamner College, Ahilyanagar
More than 115 students participated in this session where Mr. Shitole interacted with students. The event was attended by Principal Dr. Arun Gaikwad, District Coordinator Prof. Navnath Nagare, Coordinator Dr. Pratap Phalphale, and teaching staff.
3. Padmashri Vikhe Patil College, Ahilyanagar
Held at 11 AM, this event featured Mr. Shitole as chief guest and Principal Dr. P.M. Dighe as chairperson. Dr. Ram Pawar (Campus Director), Dr. B.D. Ranpise (Vice-Principal), and Dr. V.D. Nirmal (Career Katta Coordinator) were present along with 180 students and student parliament representatives.
4. Shirdi Sai Rural Institute, Rahata
At Rahata, over 122 students attended the interaction session. The program was chaired by Principal Dr. Somnath Gholap, with Prof. Navnath Nagare, Dr. Rajaram Wakchaure, and Ajinkya Puri coordinating the event.
5. Women’s College of Home Science & BCA, Loni
This final session of the day saw active participation from 167 students. The session was graced by Dr. Kanchan Deshmukh, Principal Dr. Anushree Khaire, Prof. Kumudini Gondhali, Prof. Gayatri Gahire, District Coordinator Prof. Navnath Nagare, and Career Parliament CM Siddhi Kadu.
These Career Katta sessions provided valuable mentorship and practical insights into career building, personal growth, and the smart use of technology to empower students toward a bright future.
