Raigad District-Level Career Mapping Workshop
The Raigad District-Level Career Mapping One-Day Workshop was successfully organized at J.S.M. Arts, Science and Commerce College, Alibag through the joint initiative of the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center (MITSC), and the host college.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Adv. Gautambhai Patil, President of Janata Shikshan Mandal, Alibag. The program was presided over by Dr. Sonali Patil, Principal of the college, in the presence of Dr. Sudhakar Lahupanchang, Raigad Principal Coordinator.
During the workshop, Mr. Yashwant Shitole, President of MITSC, guided students on career opportunities in the changing world and the importance of skill development. Mr. Bhushan Kolekar, Former Assistant General Manager (AGM), State Bank of India, inspired students with a fresh perspective on entrepreneurship and career growth.
The dignitaries emphasized that earning a degree alone is not enough; students must also develop practical skills to build a successful career. They highlighted that choosing the right career direction is the first step toward a bright future.
The program was introduced by Dr. Baban Singare (Co-Divisional Coordinator), while the welcome address was delivered by Dr. Hanumantarao Jagtap (District Coordinator). Dr. Prashant Anil Chate (College Coordinator) explained the objectives and organization of the workshop, and Ms. Sanyogi Naik, Career Katta Parliament Chief Minister, shared her thoughts with the participants.
The workshop proved to be highly inspiring for students by combining career guidance, entrepreneurship, and confidence-building into one meaningful learning experience.
