The Career Katta Divisional One-Day Workshop, jointly organized by the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Information Technology Support Centre (MITSC), and Dhanwate National College, Nagpur, was successfully conducted on 20 July 2026 in an enthusiastic atmosphere.

The workshop witnessed the active participation of principals, professors, Career Katta coordinators, district coordinators, and Career Sansad office bearers from various colleges across the Nagpur Division.

The event was chaired by Dr. Prashant Kothe, Principal of Dhanwate National College, while Hon. Yashwant Shitole, Chairman of MITSC, graced the occasion as the Chief Mentor. At the beginning of the programme, Dr. Sharayu Taywade, Divisional Principal Promoter, introduced the objectives of the Career Katta initiative and highlighted its importance in the holistic development of students.

Dr. Sujit Metre provided detailed insights into the Career Katta and Career Sansad initiatives, emphasizing their role in developing leadership qualities, personality development, communication skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship, and employability skills among students.

During the workshop, Hon. Yashwant Shitole guided the participants on startup culture, innovation, and opportunities and challenges in entrepreneurship. He emphasized the need to develop youth who create employment rather than merely seek jobs, and encouraged students to pursue entrepreneurship through innovative thinking, skill development, and self-confidence.

The newly appointed Chief Minister and office bearers of the Nagpur District Career Sansad were felicitated during the programme. The dignitaries congratulated them and encouraged them to work effectively towards the holistic development of students.

The workshop also included discussions on educational initiatives, skill-based learning, career guidance, leadership development, innovation, and institutional coordination. The participating principals, professors, and coordinators shared their valuable suggestions and experiences and expressed their commitment to taking the Career Katta initiative to more students.
