The Career Katta Divisional One-Day Workshop and Quarterly Review Meeting was successfully organized on 21 July 2026 at Shri Shivaji Science College, Amravati, under the joint initiative of the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Information Technology Support Centre (MITSC), Career Katta, and the Startup & Entrepreneurship Development Cell.
The workshop was conducted on the theme “Mindset Transformation for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Startup Ecosystem Development.”
The programme was chaired by Dr. G. V. Korpe, Principal of Shri Shivaji Science College. The workshop was inaugurated by Hon. Yashwant Shitole, Chairman of MITSC. Several distinguished dignitaries, along with principals, professors, divisional coordinators, and district coordinators from various districts of the Amravati Division, were present.
During the workshop, participants received in-depth guidance on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Startup Ecosystem, Leadership Development, Skill-Based Education, Career Planning, and Employment Generation. Experts emphasized the importance of transforming students from Job Seekers into Job Creators and encouraged them to develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
A quarterly review of the Career Katta activities in the Amravati Division was also conducted. Presentations on activities implemented across various districts, planning for the upcoming academic year, skill development initiatives, and strategies to take the Career Katta initiative effectively to students at the grassroots level were discussed in detail.
A key highlight of the programme was the distribution of appointment letters to newly appointed Taluka Coordinators and the grand felicitation ceremony of the newly appointed Career Sansad Chief Ministers. The dignitaries congratulated the newly appointed office bearers and extended their best wishes for their future educational and leadership responsibilities.
Principals, professors, Career Katta coordinators, Career Sansad members, and a large number of students from various colleges across the Amravati Division actively participated in the workshop. The programme was beautifully compered by Dr. Swati Pundkar, while Dr. Rekha Maggirwar proposed the vote of thanks.
The divisional workshop proved to be highly successful in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, skill development, and future-oriented thinking among students. The event marked an important milestone in the mission of Career Katta to empower students and nurture confident, skilled, self-reliant, and future-ready entrepreneurs.
