Pune Division – Career Katta Divisional One-Day Workshop

A one-day divisional workshop under the Career Katta initiative was successfully organized in Pune on November 2, 2026, jointly by the Maharashtra State Department of Higher and Technical Education and the Maharashtra Information Technology Support Centre (MITSC). The workshop brought together Principal Promoters, District and College Coordinators, and Student Representatives to discuss entrepreneurship, employment opportunities, and student welfare.

The key discussions included the upcoming Startup Summit scheduled to be held in Nashik from December 15 to 24, 2026, the establishment of Centres of Excellence and Colleges of Excellence with Potential, and the organization of future workshops on CSR Management, Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking, Sports and Nutrition, Women’s Career Opportunities, and E-Commerce.

Special emphasis was placed on student development and employment generation. A proposal was presented to provide employment opportunities to 1,000 students from drought-affected regions through startups focusing on Green Energy, Digital Content Creation, and Senior Citizen Services. The workshop served as a valuable platform for sharing ideas, promoting entrepreneurship, and strengthening the Career Katta initiative across Maharashtra.

The workshop was inaugurated by MITSC President Mr. Yashwant Shitole, while Ms. Vedika Thorat conducted the proceedings. Several distinguished academicians, Principal Promoters, and District Coordinators were present at the event.
