One-Day State-Level Workshop on "Startup Ecosystem and Higher Education"
The Career Katta – One-Day State-Level Workshop on "Startup Ecosystem and Higher Education" was successfully organized on 27 June 2026 through the joint initiative of the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center (MITSC), and Moolji Jetha College, Jalgaon. The workshop began with the Maharashtra Anthem and was inaugurated by Dr. Mrinalini Phadnavis, Vice-Chancellor and Academic Director of Khandesh College Education Society (KCE Society), Jalgaon.
The presidential address was delivered by Mr. Prafull Pathak, President of the Solar Energy Society of India, who encouraged students to become job creators instead of job seekers by embracing entrepreneurship and innovation. The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. S. N. Bharambe, Mr. Yashwant Shitole, President of MITSC, Prof. Dr. Jayendra Lekurwale, Divisional Coordinator, and Prof. Dr. Yogita Chaudhary, Assistant Divisional Coordinator.
The workshop included technical sessions on the Career Katta action plan, startup ecosystem development, industry-academia collaboration in Green Energy, Digital Content Creation, and Agriculture, institutional responsibilities, state-level committee restructuring, Induction Awareness Week, Career Parliament planning, State Resource Secretary action plans, and Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) on Emotional Intelligence and Madhur Kranti.
Following interactive discussions among principals, faculty members, coordinators, and experts, a comprehensive action plan was prepared to strengthen the implementation of Career Katta across colleges in Maharashtra. During the valedictory session, retiring principals were felicitated with certificates of appreciation for their valuable contribution to higher education. The workshop concluded with the National Anthem.
Overall, the workshop successfully provided a strong platform for promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, industry-academia collaboration, and the holistic development of students, while inspiring educational institutions to implement the Career Katta initiative more effectively.
