Madhur Kranti

With the support of the Maharashtra Khadi and Village Industries Board, the Career Katta initiative has launched the beginning of the “Sweet Revolution (Madhur Kranti)” in Maharashtra.

Taking a significant step towards providing Maharashtra’s youth with opportunities in skill development, self-employment, and entrepreneurship, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to the “Madhur Samanvay” – Beekeeping Training Project was signed jointly by the Maharashtra Khadi and Village Industries Board and Career Katta.

Through this initiative, the “Sweet Revolution” has formally begun in Maharashtra, aiming to benefit lakhs of college-going students by providing structured training and initiating a transformative movement in the agricultural sector.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by distinguished dignitaries including:

  • Hon. Ravindra Sathe, Chairman, Maharashtra Khadi and Village Industries Board (Minister of State rank),

  • Ms. Geetanjali Baviskar, IAS, Chief Executive Officer,

  • Mr. Yashwant Shitole, President, Maharashtra Information Technology Assistance Center,

  • Mr. Ravindra Thackeray, Co-Chief Executive Officer,

  • Mr. Nityanand Patil, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, along with other eminent officials.

To ensure quality control of the initiative, a Regulatory Committee has been established.
Members from the Khadi and Village Industries Board include:

  • Ms. Geetanjali Baviskar (CEO),

  • Mr. Ravindra Thackeray (Co-CEO),

  • Mr. Nityanand Patil (Deputy CEO).

Members representing Career Katta include:

  • Principal Dr. Atul Salunkhe (Mumbai Regional Promoter),

  • Principal Dr. Deepa Verma (Divisional Coordinator),

  • Prof. Dr. Ajit Dighe (Sindhudurg District Coordinator).

Special gratitude was expressed to Mr. Bipin Jagtap, former CEO of the Khadi and Village Industries Board and advisory board member of Career Katta, for providing valuable guidance and direction.

Additionally, heartfelt appreciation was extended to Prof. Dr. Ajit Dighe, Sindhudurg District Coordinator, whose original idea for this initiative—focused on student welfare—was presented to Career Katta and became the foundation of this project.
