Vidya Pratishthan College Successfully Organizes Inspiring Induction Programme for First-Year Students
Baramati, July 13: Vidya Pratishthan Arts, Science and Commerce College organized a five-day Induction Programme for first-year undergraduate students from July 13 to July 17, 2026. The programme aimed to familiarize newly admitted students with college life, build their confidence, and introduce them to various academic, cultural, and career development opportunities.
The inaugural session was graced by Principal Dr. Bharat Shinde and Mr. Yashwant Shitole, President of the Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center (MITSC), as the chief guests.
Addressing the students, Mr. Yashwant Shitole emphasized the importance of higher education, personality development, skill enhancement, career planning, and maintaining a positive mindset. He encouraged students to make the best use of every opportunity available during their college journey and confidently work towards achieving their goals. He also informed the students about the Career Parliament Oath-Taking Ceremony scheduled for July 15.
In his address, Principal Dr. Bharat Shinde highlighted the various academic and co-curricular initiatives conducted by the college. He appreciated Vidya Pratishthan's remarkable contribution to the educational landscape of the country. He also acknowledged the dedicated efforts of Dr. Sanjay Khilare, Head of the Department of English and College Coordinator of the Career Katta initiative, for successfully organizing the Induction Programme for the past ten years.
The five-day programme includes a wide range of engaging activities such as Career Katta, Knowledge Hunt, Heritage Walk, Talent Hunt, Placement Opportunities, and Alumni Interaction, all designed to promote the holistic development of students.
The programme was successfully coordinated by the department-wise coordinators, including Dr. Shriram Gadkar, Prof. Vijay Kakade, Dr. Gautam Kudale, Prof. Kishor Dhane, Prof. Akshay Shinde, Prof. Anil Kalokhe, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Prof. Sujata Patil, and Dr. Sunil Ogale, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event.
The event was attended by Principal Dr. Bharat Shinde, Vice Principals Dr. Gajanan Joshi, Prof. Nilima Pendharkar, Dr. Bhimrao More, Prof. Dr. Pradeep Patil, and Prof. Dr. Shamrao Ghadge, along with faculty members, non-teaching staff, and a large number of first-year students.
The Induction Programme received an enthusiastic response from the students, marking a promising beginning to their academic journey at Vidya Pratishthan College.
