Higher Education Plays an Important Role in Maharashtra’s Economic Development in the Vision of “Developed India 2047”; Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Divisional Award Ceremony Held

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Divisional Award Distribution Ceremony under the Career Katta initiative was successfully held with great enthusiasm on Monday, 02 March 2026. The program was jointly organized by the Higher and Technical Education Department of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center, and Anandrao Dhonde alias Babaji College, Kada (Beed).
On this occasion, a one-day workshop was also successfully organized on the theme “Developed India 2047: Role of National Education Policy and Higher Education in the Economic Development of Maharashtra.”
The program was presided over by Dr. Ajay Dhonde, Co-Secretary of Anand Charitable Institution, Ashti, who appreciated the various initiatives conducted through Career Katta for the holistic development of youth.
The event was attended by Mr. Yashwant Shitole, President of Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center (MITSC) and Mr. Ganesh Chimankar, Assistant Commissioner (Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center), Jalna District, as chief guests.
Prof. Dr. Prashant Amrutkar (Registrar, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University) and Principal Dr. Vasant Sanap (Former Management Council Member, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University) guided the participants as key speakers, elaborating on the implementation of the National Education Policy and the role of higher education in achieving the vision of Developed India.
During the program, colleges and professors from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, and Dharashiv districts were honored for their outstanding performance at the divisional level.
A total of 37 awards were distributed.
Awards were also presented to winners of various Career Katta competitions and initiatives, including:
Reels Competition – 1 award
AWS Career Tour – 4 awards
Solar Energy Awareness – 5 awards
A total of 10 competition awards were distributed.

Dignitaries expressed that Career Katta has become an effective platform for the holistic development of youth, and such workshops will act as guiding milestones in the implementation of the National Education Policy.
A large number of principals, coordinators, student Career Parliament members, and dignitaries from the education sector from across the division attended the ceremony.
