Grand Ceremony of Amravati Divisional ‘Career Katta’ Awards Held

The Amravati Divisional Award Distribution Ceremony under the Career Katta initiative was successfully held on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. The program was jointly organized by the Higher and Technical Education Department of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center, and Shri Shivaji College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Akola.
Along with the award ceremony, a one-day workshop was also conducted on the topic “Developed India 2047: Role of National Education Policy and Higher Education in the Economic Development of Maharashtra.”
During the workshop, detailed discussions were held on the changing trends in education.
The program was presided over by Dr. R. M. Bhise, Principal of the College.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Avinash Asnare, Registrar of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University.
The event was attended by Mr. Yashwant Shitole, President of Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center, as the chief guest, while Prof. Dr. Dinesh Khedkar, Amravati Divisional Coordinator, guided the participants as the key speaker.

During the ceremony, colleges and professors from Amravati, Yavatmal, Washim, Buldhana, and Akola districts were honored for their outstanding performance.
A total of 36 divisional awards were distributed.
Additionally, winners of various Career Katta competitions were also honored, including:
Reels Competition – 6 awards
AWS Career Tour – 10 awards
Solar Energy Awareness – 10 awards
A total of 26 competition awards were distributed.

A large number of principals from various colleges, Career Katta coordinators, and student parliament representatives from the Amravati division were present at the ceremony.
Through this event, participants strongly realized the important role of higher education in achieving the vision of “Developed India.”
