Ahilyanagar District-Level ‘Career Mapping One-Day Workshop’

The Ahilyanagar District-Level ‘Career Mapping One-Day Workshop’ was successfully organized on 31 August 2026 at Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji College, Shrigonda, with the objective of promoting the overall development of students and providing them with the right career direction based on their interests, abilities, AI skills, and future opportunities.

The workshop was jointly organized by the Maharashtra State Department of Higher and Technical Education and the Maharashtra Information Technology Support Centre (MITSC). The programme commenced at 10:30 AM in the college auditorium.

The programme was chaired by Hon. Prof. Dr. Satishchandraji Suryawanshi, Principal and Promoter. Hon. Digvijay Rajendradada Nagwade, Youth Leader, Shrigonda Taluka, was present as the Chief Guest. Hon. Principal Dr. Rajdhar Temkar was also present on the occasion.

The programme began with the Maharashtra Geet. Thereafter, Hon. Prof. Dr. Satishchandraji Suryawanshi welcomed the guests and participants and explained the objective of the workshop. He emphasized the importance of such workshops in helping students choose suitable careers according to their interests, abilities, and skills and make effective use of future opportunities. The programme was compered by Hon. Prof. Dr. Vilas Sudrik, District Coordinator.

During the programme, Ms. Snehal Tarachand Nehul, a student of Dada Patil Rajale College, Adinath Nagar, shared her thoughts and experiences. The College Chief Minister, Sarthak, also expressed his views and spoke about the valuable guidance received through the workshop. The students highlighted that such workshops are useful in understanding diverse career opportunities and determining the right career direction.

A guidance session for students was conducted from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. During this session, Hon. Yashwant Shitole, Chairman, Maharashtra Information Technology Support Centre, guided students about various career opportunities, skill development, competitive examinations, and future career planning. He emphasized that students should acquire the skills required according to changing times and make effective use of the opportunities available to them.

This was followed by a guidance session from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM by Hon. Bhushan Kolekar, Former Assistant General Manager (AGM), State Bank of India. He provided valuable guidance on competitive examinations, the banking sector, business opportunities, employment opportunities, and career planning. He explained the importance of developing the necessary skills along with academic qualifications and preparing oneself for future opportunities.

Through these guidance sessions, students received valuable insights into how to select an appropriate career by considering their educational qualifications, skills, interests, and available employment opportunities. They were also informed about changing employment opportunities, essential skills required in the competitive era, and various factors important for future career development.

At the conclusion of the programme, Hon. Prof. Dr. Vilas Sudrik, Ahilyanagar District Coordinator, expressed his gratitude to all the distinguished guests, students, professors, and colleagues for their valuable contribution and participation.

Overall, the workshop proved highly beneficial in helping students receive the right career direction at the right time, understand their capabilities, choose suitable career paths, and make effective use of available opportunities. The workshop received an enthusiastic response from students, with a large number of students, professors, and college staff participating. The programme concluded in a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere.
